Elliot.

This will probably be pretty boring for most of you, but I need to write all this down somewhere because I know I will forget! I'll do a Charlotte post tonight or tomorrow.

Elliot will be 8 months old on Monday.
Mobility:
can sit up, roll like crazy, and he is pretty much mobile- he just can't officially crawl. He is one good push away from going from his belly to sitting back up {UPDATE: Before I finished typing this post he sat up from laying on the floor!}. Long story short, he can get to where he wants to go.
Talking:
He can say "mama" and "dada", although he still calls the ceiling fan "mama" so I'm pretty sure he doesn't know what it means.
Eating:
So far, there is very little interested level in moving up beyond runny disgusting baby food. We finally got him to eat some of those baby yogurt melts and he likes those. He loves to drink water from a big cup (he isn't as crazy about the sippy cup).
Sleeping:
E is a great sleeper. He take two good naps a day and sleeps about 11-12 hours at night. He finally graduated from having to be nursed to sleep every single time to me just laying him in his bed awake and him going to sleep on his own.
General:
E is a HAPPY baby. He kicks his legs when he is excited and reaches out his arms to get to us. Loves the bath, loves water in general. He pretty much just goes along with anything we are doing and is happy about it. The only thing is that when he gets mad... he gets REALLY mad. Just absolutely furious- I think it is the red hair :)  He is SUPER loud. He yells and snorts and talks SO loud. It is such a weird change from Charlotte who was the world's quietest baby. We have noticed that he has the pincer grip perfected in his left hand, but not his right. It will be super weird if we have two left handed kids...  (and yes, I know it is too early to tell for sure, we just enjoy speculating)

This truly is the golden age of parenting. Limited mobility, lots of sleeping, and he can't talk back.

I love this season we are in with A, but I do miss that golden age every now and then. Right now it's mobility like crazy, still waking up at night (sometimes a lot), but no back talk =) I wish I could freeze time sometimes. ps -I didn't realize you still had a blog . . .
