New Blog Template!
Those of you that still come to my blog the old school way: how is it?
For those of you that read my blog in a Reader, please click on over and tell me what you think?
Since the content of this blog is now 85% pictures of the zoo, I thought this one was appropriate and cute.

Happy Birthday MSM! I couldn't find any pictures I thought you would deem acceptable.
Charlotte says "Happy Birthday" and Shelby, Sam, and Simon say they miss you.

Our Annual Babb Family Trip to St. George Island

2009 Edition
Charlotte tried to get Uncle Jon and Aunt Meg to go to bed at like 9:30pm. We all know that was an exercise in futility:

New Pictures!
Time for some new pictures so we loaded up early on Saturday morning and braved the heat and mosquitoes for a photo shoot. We went to Memorial Gardens (for those of you who are not Memphians, Memorial Gardens is actually a cemetery with a beautiful garden in the middle- it is a hot spot for photographers in Memphis. There were at least 4 other photographers there while we were). So here we go....

I call this the Joe Turner (those of you that know him know what I mean) She has plans, sneaky plans:
I love these pink boots so much I can't stand it. They barely fit on her feet now but I think I will keep them FOREVER:

Wild River Country
Yesterday we drove 2+ hours to Little Rock, AR to the waterpark there.
Charlotte LOVED LOVED it. We watched The Little Mermaid on the way up- her favorite character these days? The dog. Every time he popped up on the screen she would get so excited and tell us all about the "sweet puppy".
The kiddie pool seemed much less germ-filled than many I have been to:

She made us go down this slide about 900 times. I think Jimmy had almost as much fun as she did:

She only got the floating turtle to herself once and she was prepared to defend herself against interlopers:

Another little boy that was with our group- she refused to learn his name, preferring to just call him "Boy":

I didn't get a lot of pictures because it is hard to actually do anything at a waterpark if you are carrying your camera. She adored the wave pool and was determined to go on the BIG slides even though she was way too little. This paints a scary picture of the future: Me standing at the exits of things while she and daddy wait in line for hours, ride for 5 seconds... all the while I am holding all the stuff.
It was a great day and it was a really place! We plan to go back every year!

Things In My House Thursday
I know, it's shocking.
But I just wanted to share this:
I'm not sure if it was murder or suicide. The oven door has been broken for a while now, I guess that just made it seem like a quick and easy way to end it all.
Go to MSM's and see her exciting post for Things in My House Thursday

Yee-Haw
This is going to get me out of chronological order, but not too much.
Lorenzo and Juliana invited us to their party- there were pony rides, BBQ, crafts, rock wall, and lots of friends!
I think I might cry the day she outgrows those pink cowboy boots.
