I thought for sure that after the holidays I would be a much better blogger. I guess it is just one of those things that you get out of the habit of and then it is hard to get back to.
Here's a little look at what is keeping us busy.
Last Friday was a beautiful day and Mary was here, so we took Holden and Charlotte out to play.

We tried out the Barbie Jeep (minus the Barbie logos- thank you Magic Eraser) and it went fairly well. It is not really designed for offroading. She greatly enjoyed it though.
Total change of subject here- I have been making decorations for a baby shower! It has occupied a lot of my time so I thought I would share some pictures from the shower. I also made the cutest hooded blanket but totally forgot to take a picture of it. It was from the Amy Butler Little Stitches book I got for Christmas. The shower was a shabby chic type thing, and no, this is not my house.
Food Table:

I made this little flower-y letter "C" out of styrofoam and fake flowers.
The little glass candle holder was only like .57 cents and I filled it with moss and stuck those letter things in it. I saw some cupcake toppers on Etsy that gave me the idea.

The color is a little off on this one, but I had to adjust it to make the letters show up better.
I used floral wire and shaped the letters- then wrapped them in grapevine and tied the whole thing together with invisible cord stuff. Stuck in a few flowers and hung them- super cute!
They were not hard at all, just time consuming and messy.

Becca's cake. It was so cute- the colors came out so weird on this one so you can go to Becca's cake making blog for a much more accurate picture.

Anyway, I am really going to start trying to post more! I have another baby shower to host/organize on Sunday and a few other things coming up as well. I have a bunch of stuff around the house that I have never blogged about. Not to mention that I have still never blogged about Charlotte's big girl bed and special pjs.

Don't you just love Amy Butler? She makes me wish I could sew.. Instead, I just buy stuff & have my mil do it for me.
And I'm totally copying that flower covered initial.. I'm thinking maybe a wreath for my front door..
Jess- I knew you were talented but WOW! All the baby shower decorations were amazing. Makes me want to TRY my hand at some arts and crafts - you make it look so incredibly easy!!
I'm placing an order for a grapevine / yellow forsythia wreath for my front door. I'll be wanting it by the first of February.
Before you scoff, remember, I loan you Mary ALL of the time.
What another bed? Avery is still in her crib!!
Can't wait for more posts!!!
