Things in my house

Join us for Things in my house Thursday over at MSM's!!

This week I present some prized possessions:

All our Gabba Friends!! They live in a yellow basket on the bottom shelf of the coffee table.
Brobee, Toodee, Plex, Muno & Foofa

Here is a close up of the coveted Foofa... these are impossible to find, but luckily I had the good sense to tell everyone I knew that I was searching high and low for one. I almost gave in and bought one off Ebay for $25 (they retail for about $6) but I resisted. A few weeks later, Lyndsey spotted two of them at my favorite Target but I was all the way out at the zoo! So, I called my mom and as luck would have it... she was right across the street from there so she ran in and bought them both.

I like that we have the complete set and Charlotte just likes them. She esp. likes to take them everywhere we go in her "pack-pack".

The irony is that I generally refuse to buy anything with Elmo, Pooh, Dora, Sesame Street, and most especially Disney Princesses.
But we have all the Gabba Friends, a Muno Guitar, Foofa pjs, 2 Foofa shirts, and 3!!! sweatshirts (Plex, Foofa & Toodee in case you are wondering).

I guess they don't bother me as much because they are all pretty simple. With the exception of the pajamas they are not busy or garish or terribly cheesy looking.

Her other true love is Clifford the Big Red Dog so if any of you have some old-school Clifford books hanging around your house let me know!!

We are huge Gabba fans at our house. I think we danced around doing twirly whirly a few thousand times this summer.

You know where we stand. Now, if I could just find Plex and Foofa gab and sing dolls, we will be set.

Love 'em! Although, I do feel uneducated...I didn't know what the GabbaGabba thing was until a few months ago...from this exact site. They are cute though!

we love Yo Gabba Gabba too...I really like the songs much more stuck in my head than from other shows.
We do have elmo & friends toys & such around our house, but I do not like to buy anything with Disney, Nick Jr, etc. characters on it. They are overly done & cheesy like you said. Once my mom bought Bryce transformers shoes that light up & I hated 'em..but bryce love them and wore them out of course.
