Bedtime

So.... here is a breakdown of our bedtime routine... in excruciating detail:

hop out of the bath, point- and sometimes kiss- the baby in the mirror, turn off the light.
lay down in the fully prepared changing pad where you will have your diaper and lotion applied.
pjs on.
Hang up your towel (she loves to try to "trick" daddy and see if he will help hang it up in the wrong place).
Put away the changing pad.

Survey the bed for things you like (such as blankets or bears).

Jump up in mommy's lap for reading time- mommy combs the hair while daddy reads the first book. Mommy reads the next one... then on to bedtime prayers and then running across the room to get in the bed. We cover her and turn off the lamp and head out.

Tonight she decided to vary this by grabbing a book of the shelf and taking it to bed with her. She climbed up there and held it over her head and "read" it to us. It was really cute, and she would have slept with it in her bed given half the chance. I have found books hidden in the bed after naptime, I think if she is not that tired she will go get one and lay back down in the bed.

I think perhaps she takes after mommy.

There is a baby under that book:
Saying night night to daddy and waiting on her other blankets:

Full capacity- a large baby doll, stuffed bear (under the covers) and three blankets:

What's her favorite book?

She's not alone in sleeping with books. I have a two year old that picks a book out of her shelf every night. She sleeps with them like they're a teddy bear or something.
Before her book obsession, she would like to sleep with her shoes.

There's nothing else to say, but, "Awww".

That is one cute little girl! Seeing her in that toddler bed is so sweet- I can't believe that my almost 4-year old is still in her crib!
