I am going to combine two posts and make this Thursday Thirteen totally Charlotte-centric:
1. She is still obsessed with making things "right"- things must be lined up, in the proper place, with the things that look alike. Abby had a new doll at Christmas and when Charlotte spotted it with a jacket wrapped around it, she made a huge fuss until it was corrected.
2. She LOVES to color. She would sit at her little table at Grammy & Grampy's and fill entire pages with "pictures".
3. Thanks to Yo Gabba Gabba, she loves to "walk in a circle"- if you say it to her she will spin and spin and spin until she can't walk in a straight line.
4. She constantly claps for herself when she thinks she has done something clap-worthy.
5. She is still eating very well with her spoon and fork- the only exceptions are lasagna and ice cream... she likes those so much she grabs handfuls and shoves them in her mouth.
6. We are still working on drinking from a real cup. She does great with the drinking it is just that when she gets bored she dumps it out.
7. Now when we go out to eat, she has to have her own meal (or one of us gets something extra-big) and she drinks from a cup with a straw- I love not having to take a sippy cup with us!
8. Her favorite place besides home is Bellevue. She could run through that building for days and not get bored of it. Between the rows of seats, up and down the stairs, running aimlessly through the halls- it is all tons of fun... for her.
9. It is scary how close she is to being able to open a can drink- she gets her fingers under the tab and pulls but she is not quite strong enough. She then pretends to drink from it.
10. She is still obsessed with shoes- if she finds them lying around she will bring them to the proper person (usually) and make them put the shoes on.
11. We went to Pancho's last night and it took over an hour to get our DRINKS and then a bit longer to get our food- Aside from needing to walk a few laps around the restaurant with Daddy, Charlotte was SO good the entire time. We were there for over 2 hours and I was so proud of how well she behaved.
12. At Panchos, I decided to let her try some spinach from my quesadilla- this was the thick stuff surrounded in cheese and from the look on her face you would think she had just ingested a live scorpion or something equally vile. She wouldn't eat anything else until she had about half a cup of water. I think she is scarred for life.
13. She is OBSESSED with kitties of all kinds- on the TV, in books, on a T-shirt, figurines, whatever... she gets SO excited and starts pointing and yelling "Gitty". She saw a tiger on the news today and wouldn't stop yelling about it until I hit rewind and let her see it again.
