I was going through my closet and decided I had a shirt worth sacrificing. I do still like the shirt, but I could see how much cuter it could be as a toddler dress!
Here is the original shirt:

Here is the new dress:
It isn't hemmed yet, and the straps are just pinned in until I can make sure it fits (she is napping). I think it came out really well and it only took about 20 minutes.
The back:

And here it is on a baby model! It isn't perfect, but I will fix it up a little when it is closer to warm weather. I figure there is no point in adjusting the straps or hem too much until I know how big she will be when she can wear it. It is much cuter in person than the picture shows.

That's adorable! It makes me SO PROUD to have passed on sewing skills, creativity, do-it-ness, and good looks to boot!! I know you are appreciative, you don't have to say anything.
We can go through Mary's clothes and those re-fits will only take 10 minutes. . .
I did think of Mary's clothes- I bet there are some good options there.
We've found more clothes for you to cut up.
