Well, I don't have much else to blog- the weekend was a blur and I can't believe it is already Monday!
So, I will share with all of you what will be descending upon my house tomorrow....
Mommy/Baby Day
Every week for the past 16 months (give or take a few weeks around Christmas) we have gathered a fairly large group of mommies and babies at someone's home. Not just random babies- here is the background story:
Back when I found out I was pregnant, I soon discovered that two of my very good friends were pregnant as well. Two quickly multiplied to three and we started having "Pregnancy Night"- the husbands played together and we girls sat around and talked about all things baby-related.
We started doing it once a month and it quickly grew and grew. At the last pregnancy night before the babies started coming there were 10 mommies in various stages of gigantic-ness. In case you are wondering if we just pulled pregnant women off the street, we are all in fact members of the same Bible Fellowship class at church (BF simply means Sunday School for grownups). There were about 35 couples at the time so it was no small feat for 10 of us to be pregnant with our first babies together.
Fast forward a few months and we came up with Baby Day!
We do it each week and have a rotation schedule. As of right now there are 13 mommies and 13 babies (we added a few more as they joined our class) and varying numbers of them show up each week and we try to keep them from killing each other while we talk- and Eat. We are Baptists after all.
The three babies pictured above are the three that started it all. Mine is the little orange one in the back!
